Dumpster rental for home renovations
Cabinets, plaster, tile, subfloor: renovation debris is bulkier than people expect, and it lands in the driveway the same afternoon demo starts. One flat rate covers delivery, the rental window, pickup, and the included tonnage.
Which size fits
A kitchen or bath gut, flooring rip-out, or a couple of rooms of demo fills a 20 yard fast; it is the workhorse for renovations. A single room or a basement carry-out fits the 12 yard. When you are between sizes, go bigger: the upgrade costs less than a second rental.
What goes in
- Kitchen and bath gut-outs
- Flooring, tile, and subfloor
- Plaster, lath, and drywall
- Cabinets, vanities, and fixtures
The short prohibited list (paints, chemicals, hazardous material) is on the FAQ page. Heavy material like concrete, brick, and dirt is welcome with a quick call first, so we can confirm weight and pricing before your card is ever charged.
“Easy booking, drop-off, and pickup. Staff was very accommodating and prompt. They even worked around my absent-mindedness by dropping my bin on time, even though I forgot to sign the contract. Highly recommend Summit. Will definitely use them again!”
Common questions
What size dumpster fits a kitchen remodel?
A full kitchen gut (cabinets, counters, tile, subfloor) typically fills a 20 yard ($599). A cosmetic refresh or single-bath demo fits the 12 yard ($399). Whole-floor renovations step up to the 30 yard.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Five to seven days are included depending on size, and most renovations swap debris in bursts. Extra days are $10 each, and weekends never count against a 12 yard since we only pick up Monday through Friday.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
We put wood under every contact point before the container touches down, and our trucks place gently. Thousands of Connecticut driveways later, boards-first is still the rule on every single delivery.
