Dumpster rental for demolition projects

A teardown produces more debris than any other job, and it lands all at once. The 30 yard is the demolition default; when a crew is knocking a structure down we run priority swap-outs from our Milford yard so the fresh can is there before anyone stands around waiting.

Which size fits

Demolition mixes everything and fills fast: framing, drywall, siding, flooring, and fixtures all at once. A full structure or a whole-interior gut runs the 30 yard; a garage, deck, or single-room teardown fits the 20 with a swap if it runs long. Dense material (concrete, brick, dirt) is a separate weight job, so keep it out of the demo can and call us for a heavy-debris container instead.

What goes in

  • Interior tear-outs and gut jobs
  • Deck, shed, and garage teardowns
  • Framing, drywall, and siding
  • Mixed construction and demolition debris

The short prohibited list (paints, chemicals, hazardous material) is on the FAQ page. Heavy material like concrete, brick, and dirt is welcome with a quick call first, so we can confirm weight and pricing before your card is ever charged.

“Easy booking, drop-off, and pickup. Staff was very accommodating and prompt. They even worked around my absent-mindedness by dropping my bin on time, even though I forgot to sign the contract. Highly recommend Summit. Will definitely use them again!”

Common questions

What size dumpster do I need for demolition?

A whole-interior gut or a small structure teardown fills the 30 yard ($799, 3 tons included). A garage, large deck, or single-room demo fits the 20 yard ($599, 2 tons), with a swap-out if the debris runs past one container. When in doubt on a teardown, go bigger: the upgrade is cheaper than a second haul.

Can concrete and brick go in the demolition dumpster?

Keep heavy rubble out of a mixed demo load. Concrete, brick, block, and dirt are weight jobs that hit haul limits fast, so they ride in a separate right-sized container. See our concrete and heavy-debris rental and call first so it is priced by the ton.

Do you swap out containers mid-demolition?

Yes, and it is the core of our contractor work. Call the swap in and the loaded can is hauled and a fresh one set, usually next morning and often same day, so the demo never stops for want of an empty box.
